gst123 software package provides GStreamer based command line media player, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gst123
gst123 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gst123 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gst123 *
You will get with gst123 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
